I've been battling cfs for 4 years now,
and I still am not progressing well. In
an attempt to turn it all around, I have
been seeing a doctor familiar with things
of the sort and going about things the
'herbal' way. Diets and all.
Unfortunately, I have not done well with
this, because I am.. Lazy. Or
something. I am 15 now, and if anything
i'm just getting worse. I find myself
too weak/apathetic/'hopeless' to even
bother with taking my supplements at this
point, and i've been looking into the
matter trying to find something that could
help me function - at least enough to help
me focus on improvement - and at the most,
maybe help me to attend school.
It's getting pretty bad. I fade in and
out of consciousness, hallucinate, and
confuse 'dreams' with reality. I sleep a
lot, and am perfectly capable of sleeping
more. Anytime. I can fall asleep
anywhere. I often feel so tired that I
can't even breathe regularly, and I panic,
so I sort of 'snap out of it' and somehow
think i've 'woken up'. I'd like to blame
it all on fatigue, but I am not sure if
that's really fair. Nonetheless, I was
hoping someone could help me out a bit.
If I told my doctor all of this, do you
think he would prescribe anything for it?
And if so, what do you think he would
prescribe? Should I ask for anything in
particular? I was thinking dexedrine or
provigil, but I know nothing of either,
and I may be way off. Please help.
