Miscarriage - I Ask Myself Why?
Posted: 07-15-04 18:10pm

I just had a miscarriage, couple of days ago. It was the worst nightmare I ever experience in my whole life. Only a few days before my doctor had told me that I am pregnant. I was 7 weeks far. My boyfriend and me were very happy about it when we found out, but then only a few days after, I started having cramps combined with bleeding. I went to my gyno for a check up and the ultrasound showed everything was allright with the baby as for now, but if the bleeding got any heavier I should go immediately to the hospital. That night bleeding started getting massive, it wouldnt stop as well as the pain. I hoped it would go away, but also was prepared that it could be something serious. I prayed that my baby would survive. In the morning I checked in to the hospital where they diagnosed a miscarriage. No heartbeat - nothing. I was under shock and burst out in tears.
They told me they would have to make a d&c as for to remove the rest of the bodyparts.
At first I refused, because, I couldnt realize my baby was dead.
After a long talk with the doctor, I agreed as it was the best for my health.
I am a mother of a 4-year old daughter, my first pregnancy was normal, no complications, nothing.
I still do not know how deal with it all, and ask myself why? And what my fault was.
Now I am scared I might have a next miscarriage or dont even know if I might get pregnant again.

Thank you!
