As a kid my doctor felt that I was showing
signs of something. I was not allowed to
have sugar for a long time. If I did I
would get so dizzy and sometimes I would
come close to passing out. If I skipped
meals I would get the shakes.
Since i've gotten older it has become
worse. If I have a lot of sugar I get
heart palpatations and if I don't eat
right I get so shaky and feel like I am
going to pass out. In 6 years i've had
four children and they test your blood
sugar when you are pregnant and i've
always tested normal. But I was wondering
if whatever I had as a child might be
coming back into my life. My grandfather
has latent diabietes. Somewhere someone
told me that it skips a generation. I
don't know if that is true but if it is
the generation to get it would be my
brother or i.
Anyone have an idea about what might be
going on with me?

Try these two sites for ideas re dietary
changes that might help you discover a
solution:
It has been said that diabetes does skip a
generation, however it was referred to
type 1 I beleive (autoimmune) usually in
such a case another autoimmue disease had
a 50% chance of being passed to the next
generation..In the form of arthritus,
lupus etc..Also, hypoglycemia has been
found to be linked to family lines that
had alcoholics. There was a weakness
linked into their livers and personality
behavior which lead to this. Depression
as well.
It is possible if you aren't eating
properly and you can have hypoglycemia not
related to diabetes purely- I have the
same as you in story and family
background. How old are you now and have
you ever had a child?
