Ok, so I am a bit anxious at this point. I started having pretty bad cramps at work yesterday which lasted most of the day, by dinnertime they would come and go, first 15 minutes apart, then 10 minutes apart....This lasted for about 5 hours. Couldnt sleep and then it went away. Today I had my dr appt. And he said no dilating yet. Tonight again the cramps come and go. Whats up? Confused Confused Confused

Its called braxton hicks ... They arent rally contractions just feel like it ... They mean nothing really just that its getting closer and ur uterus is tired of stretching and would like to get the abby out now. But I read in a journal ... The babys brain sends a signal to its body to release certain chemicals to the uterus when its ready to be delivered so its all up to ur lil one or the drs. Its nothing to be alarmed about but its best to just stay off ur feet and rest and relax a lil more and not stress about to much.

Hope this helps

do u now what ur having yet and any names picked out???

The cramping is completely normal, your uterus is just preparing itself for whats to come. Isn't it amazing how your body just knows it's almost time. I would say just to keep an eye on yourself. If the cramping gets real strong and seems to be coming at a regular pace then ask your doctor, maybe he/she could do an internal to see if you are dilated any. Do you know what your having?
