Gallbladder Like Pain With No Gallbladder! Posted: 07-17-04 18:25pm
I was 22 and started having gallbladder
pain. I was not even sure what the pain
was until later. It took me 1 year to
finally find out that my gallbladder did
not function. My gastro Dr. Did not
want to believe that a guy my age had
something wrong with his gallbladder
without the presence of stones. To make
a long story short, I had a hida scan
which revealed the source of my year's
worth of distress. I had my gallbladder
removed, and everything was great. A few
years later, the heart-burn returned. I
had a stretta procedure done to help with
this. It is a new endoscopic procedure
used to treat heart-burn. It has worked
out well. Now just in the past few
weeks, I have started having gallbladder
pain even though I have no gallbladder.
I saw my regular doctor who ordered a ct
scan, an ultrasound, and another hida
scan. All came back fine. The
prescribed levsin, but I am still in pain.
Am I nuts, or is there a reason why I am
in pain? If there is anyone else out
there with the same difficulties, please
contact me.
