I'm going to ask a really stupid question
but i'm 11 weeks right now. How many
months is that. I'm getting all confused.
I want to say i'm getting ready to be in
my fourth month but i'm getting all
confused with books telling me that if
you're 11 weeks the baby is only 9. And
i've heard that you are closer to being
pregnant for closer to ten months than
nine months. Is that true as well? Sorry
for the stupid questions...

Yes, your progress is counted from the
last period you had, not the baby's
conception, which occurs 2 weeks later
than that if you have normal ovulation and
a 28 day cycle. Your pregnancy lasts 40
weeks, so at the end, the baby is actually
38 weeks old. 40 weeks is about 9 1/2
months because there are two months in
every year that have 5 weeks. 11 weeks
is two months and three weeks. You
usually aren't considered three months
pregnant until week 13.

The strange thing is that I don't remember
when my last period was. I know that my
child was conceived on or a few days after
may 2...Depending on how long sperm can
live in your body. Since I did not know
when my last period was they estimated my
due date was feb 7. But...What i'm
confused about is that on june 14 I had my
ultrasound saying that I was 6 weeks
along. So I did a due date clock online
cause I was adding up that feb 7 was an
extra 2 weeks. So instead of it being 40
weeks...It added up to be 42. Does that
make any sense? So now that I did that
due date clock it's now saying that i'm 13
weeks.
There is no way that if my ultrasound said
that I was 6 weeks pregnant on june 16
that the date of conception would be may
16. That is only 4 weeks. Date of
conception by my ultrasound is may 2. And
we have a long distance relationship and
don't get to see each other much so I know
for a fact that we were together on may
2.
Is this as confusing to you as it is me?
So am I really 11 weeks along or is it
really 13?

Your dates are soooooo close to mine!!!!
I am thinking that I concieved around may
7th and I am getting a due date of
february 9th which makes no since what so
ever....I think everything is really just
based on number's and what not!! If you
like, let me know and we can exchange
e-mails since we are only like a few day's
apart on all this!!!! And try to help one
another out some!!
