Hey wyatt,

im new too so dont you worry. He is a marine engineer, he works on chemical tankers. Basically if theres a problem with a ship he fixes it or if theres a fire he puts it out. Thats the shortened description lol he's going for about 13months, but he might get a holiday off in 4 or 5months.

Wow, well, that sounds like a dangerous, yet good, job. Atleast he'll be coming back sometime. Thirteen months is a long time though. You both will still be in contact though, right?

Yeah I already started a letter to him lol last year his phone bill from the ship wa smore than the rest of the crews put together. So I have been warned he will not be phoning more than once every 2 weeks, as he has an engagment ring to pay off.(he makes me feel bad for that yet I know he could also add his playstation 2 and laptop to that list)

yeah it is a very dangerous job, 2 of his friends have already died doing it. So I worry about him, but I know he has a good head on his shoulders. Also it's an amazing chance to see the world, last year he went all round europe and africa. This year he will be going straight from hamburg to texas, then possibly asia. My sis can keep an eye on him when he hits singapore lol I might even join him out there if it's no later than september or october for a wee break

Well thats cool.
I'm tired of seeing the world. I'm an army brat and for me moving around every couple of months was hell.
As far as that telephone bill goes, I know exactly how that is.
I went to florida (before I kenw ash was pregnant.) with my mom and brother. Ash called me like five times a day on my mom's cellphone. I think I now owe her around 100 bucks because we used up all of her minutes, and then some. Oi ><

Im an ex-pat brat myself. I love going travelling and seeing differant places and cultures. When I have my kids im going to make sure they see the world. Im taking them with me.

The best place ever was going to the island where the beach was filmed in thailand. You have to swim through caves to get into it. But we could only stay the day your not allowed any longer.
