Crying
or Very sad my mother had a hysterectomy sept 9. Last week she started losing fluid from her stitches (blood, puss, etc). She went to the doctor and was told that it was okay. But I do not know if I trust that. It has been almost 3 weeks and this fluid is still leaking. Has anyone experienced this before? I am really uneasy about this situation.

Go again and tell them you are concerned! And have them explain it to you!

I had a hysterectomy in 1993 and about a week or so after surgery developed oozing of my incision (pinkish/yellow discharge). I thought my incision had come undone, but come to find out it was a staff infection and I had to be put on antibiotics and hot compresses had to be put on my stomach 2 or 3 times a day for a week. Check the area around the incision and where discharge is coming from. If the area feels very warm or is hard to the touch, get to the doctor and have them check for infection.
