Flu Vaccination And Getting Sick? Posted: 07-27-04 19:06pm
Hi I received the flu vaccination earlier
in the year (march). I am now currently
suffering from flu like symptoms e.G.
Sore throat, stuffy nose and blocked ears.
Is this normal, as it has not happened to
me in previous years when I received the
flu vaccination!

Well the flu vaccine protects you from
strains of the flu, but not common viral
infections or bacterial like strep and the
common cold.
Remember that quite often you get symptoms
like ear stuffiness, sore throat,
congestion, even bad coughs with the
common cold if your immune systom is low
enough (i am fighting it now)
even if you add fever to all these
symptoms you most likely have a bad viral
infection or possible strep. If it
continues see a doctor.
If you have ever really had the true flu,
let me tell you you would know it. Your
body is so weak it feels as if you had
been run over. You are plagued with fever
and actually most often you do not
actually have "cold" symptoms! All that,
and you would be in bed for about 3 weeks,
literally.
I hope you feel better!
For future reference, if you get any
symptoms at all after receiving a vaccine,
it is not from the vaccine, that is not a
live virus. Chances are however as your
immune system was adjusting itself you
came in contact with a common virus, never
would it be longer that a week or so after
if it had anything whatsoever to do with
your vaccine.

I've read that garlic is very good against
flu cold and many ailments.
It works like a natural antibiotic! So
eat garlic!
