How Long Does Freezing Last? Posted: 07-29-04 14:54pm


I had my back tooth removed this morning. The side of my face my lips and one side of my chin were frozen. It was done at around 10:30. It is now 3:30 and the side of my face is basiclaly unfrozen but the lips and side of chin are still frozen. Is that normal? Thanks

Hey there!You were probably given a long lasting anesthetic.It can last up to 12 hours.If you are still numb in the morning,call your dentist first thing!Good luck to you.Patty

Thanks, i'm fine now. It went away about 2 hours after I wrote the message.
