Hello, this is an embarrassing problem
which is why i'm choosing to ask you for
help instead of talking to someone face to
face.
I haven't had a period for a long time, at
least 4 months, and the last times I did
get them (which was few and far between)
they were very unreliable, with bleeding
on and off for about a week.
I am 16 years old, never had sex (i'm
actually gay but haven't had sex with any
males or females). I am pretty skinny but
don't want to put on weight for obvious
reasons - a lot of girls go crazy with
dieting etc. But I just want to stay the
way I am; roughly 100 pounds and almost
5ft2. I know my mum is starting to get
concerned as she is noticing that I
haven't used any pads for ages, but I
really really don't want to talk to her or
go to a doctor.
Don't get me wrong, if i'm lucky enough to
have gotten rid of the red monster then I
don't mind and it's not as if I was going
to have children anyway, but I would like
to know; if I have no period then am I
infertile? Will it ever come back or is
it lost forever?
Please, if anyone can give advice i'd
really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

Well, miss nobody, you are a somebody!
I'm a tad concerned with that...Your title
of name, then speaking about concern of
weight, being gay and not looking to your
mom for motherly advice. That's a lot of
stress in itself!
Everyones body is different. 16 isn't too
young to see a gyno!!!! Perhaps your
system is normal, or it's stress, or being
active, or maybe something is wrong! It
doesn't matter whether you are gay and do
not want children...The body should be
respected by all cost. I am lesbian to
which does not plan to become pregnant as
of yet and refuse to take pills to rid of
my periods because this is unnatural.
Besides...Perhaps later in life you will
meet a same sex partner and seek to become
mother! If in the event something is
malfunctioned, by all means get it checked
out. It will save you worry, better
health..Yet alone a better peace of
mind!
P.S. If your mother does not know about
your sexuality...It really isn't
important. Unconditional love....Express
your concern that you need to see a gyno
for peace of mind.
Don't allow what may be or may not be...A
curse to yourself.
It's common for girls and women to skip
months between periods, but by all
means...Get to know what's up from tests
if this is natural for you!
