Scoliosis

My daughter was born with hip dysplasia of both hip. She's now 7 and everything is fine. At her last checkup, we noticed a curvature in her back and the orthapedic Dr. Ordered an xray which showed a curve in her spine. He stated that she has a severe curve. I don't know the degree yet. He has refered us to a specialist saying that along with the hip dysplasia and the fact that she's only 7 he suspects something neurologically causing the scoliosis. My question- is there any relation between the hip dysplasia and scoliosis. The Dr. Said her leg lenth is fine.

Otherwise my daughter is healthy. She doesn't complain of any pain. She is active in softball, gymnastics, swimming and basketball.
