Makeup- Girls Help Me Please Posted: 08-11-04 03:17am
Okay this is corny, but I have a serious
question. Now, you all know how britney
spears, christina and all of the famous
people now wear their eyemakup? I
believe the trend is called "cat eyes"
okay, my question is how in the hell do
you apply makeup like that? I mean, when
I was younger and learned how to do my
makeup it was very simple and I have been
doing it the same for like 13 years.
Well, I would really like to try the new
look, but I have no idea how to do it.
Is there any way someone can explain it to
me, or maybe find me a close up picture of
it, so I can try to copy it? I know this
is silly, but I am serious. I don't know
how to do it and I want to try.
It is like my hair. I have had it cut
like jennifer anistons and like every
other cut I have ever liked (long though,
I will not cut my hair off!) and I can
never get it to look right. I mean it is
layered, but I cannot get my layers to
look separated from the other ones, but
look full. I don't know if that made
sense, I am not good at explaining things.
Anyway, any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated! Thanks girls!
I looked at those links, and I guess they
are pretty good, but to detailed fo me. I
do my makeup everyday, and unless I am
goig out I use the same colors. I put a
powder base on my whole eyelid, on that
matches my skintone. I can use my
foundation b/c I only use powder
founations. Then I put a shimmery gold on
top of my eyelid, and I stop at the
crease. Above the crease I put a dark
silent kind of brown, and when I put it
on, I make the applicator go out and up,
if you can understand that. That is where
the cat comes in. And then I take the
same shimmery gold and put it lightly on
my brow bone. Then I take an eyeliner
that is the same color as the shimmery
gold, and line the inner corner of my
bottom eyelid. Then I take a black
eyeliner and line the outer corner of my
top lid, and go out and up like before.
Then I take a clean finger and smudge both
eyeliners, and the dark brown. Okay this
sound difficult but it is really not, if I
can find a pic i'll show.
And as for your hair, well my hair in
naturally curly so most of the time, like
in all of the pics that I post , I
straighten it with a flat iron. And my
hair also has natural layers. If you want
it like jennifer's you basically want it
to be bone straight right? Well to do
that get a ceramic flat iron, and some
flat iron spray like charles worthigton's.
Part your hair (it has to be parted so
that it is only one layer), spray on the
cw then take the flat iron and put it on
the root of your hair, and kind of bring
it out like you are curling it and then go
straight down. You may need to go over
the ends again to get it really straight.
And when you are done take a wide toothed
comb and comb it all down. If you can
understand my directions it should come
out right.

in just a minute liz.
I can get my hair straight just fine. I
do have a flat iron. But, I cannot get
my layers to "clump together" so to speak.
I cannot think of how to explain it.
If I can think of it I will type it.
it is hard to explain how to apply in

I want to look at those cat eyes. Im not
much into makeup though. I just wear
foundation, some powder and black
eyeliner. Thats about it. Sometimes ill
wear eyeshadow but thats if im going
somewhere nice. Other than that I dont
bother. I like to wear lip gloss though,
but so far I havent found a fave lip gloss
yet

I think you should just go to a makeup
counter at the mall or wherever and get
them to show you how to do it. Most of
them really know their stuff! What kinda
makeup do ya'll use? Lately I have been
in love with presciptives...If you havent
tried it...You should!

I use all kinds of makeup. My foundation
is mary kay, cause it is the only kind
that doesn't make me break out.
Blush-mary kay, eyeliner-mary kate and
ashley (liquid), eyeshadow-covergirl,
lipstick-all different kinds, mascara-wet
n' wild......I think that is it.
I wear makeup everyday and have since I
was like 13. It only takes me 3-5
minutes to apply everything, so it is no
big deal and I feel funny without it.
But I wanted to know how to do the cat
eyes for when I go out or just feel like
doing something different.
Thank you so much girls for your input and
those pics and sites. I am going to try
tonight and I will let you know how it
goes! It should be interesting!

Im sooo excited b/c I start cosmetology
school and the first 2 months is just
basics but then u go outo n the floor and
u can do any!!!!!! So that means makeup
manicures pedicures hair cutting hair
dying everything!!!!

when yours gets older b/c she has dark

I use to always wear make-up no matter
what but now I barley ever wear it
lol...It takes me less than 5 mins to do
my make-up.. All I wear is foundation,
blush, eyeshawdow, eyeliner and
mascarsra(sp?) but when I do my make up
its very natural you cant even tell im
wearing make up lol...
