Hysterectomy 3 Weeks Ago Today...... Posted: 09-29-03 11:27am
I am 63...Had a hysterectomy as a
preventive measure...I had genetic testing
done this spring for the brca genes which
cause breast/ovarian cancer and the test
was positive. (breast cancer---been
there, done that 22 years ago.) my
daughter was conerned about her genetic
risk and the geneticist suggested I was
the logical one for the testing since i'd
had breast cancer. That's how I happened
to have done the testing this past
spring.
I am an active person and just wondered
how long it has taken others in my
approximate age bracket to get back up to
speed. I am about half there energy-wise
and tire pretty easily.
