How Do I Tell Her
Posted: 09-29-03 11:59am

Rolling Eyes my name is amber. I posted the message "pregnant by mistake" and I still haven't told my mom that I am pregnant. I don't know how to tell her. I mean I have been so good and doing well in school and having plans to go to college and everything and now i'm pregnant. And trust me, this wasn't part of my plans just yet. Well can you help me out guys I really need to know what kind of words I should say. Wink

thanks, amber

Hey amber!

I planned these words even though I was never preggy!Hahah I just needed them you know. But you need to think about it. Tell her what you are posting. Get her in a public place! Best way, trust me. Like to dinner. And let her know...Well, I had my plans for college and school and my life but sometimes plans never work out. But I have to tell you, you need to be there for me. I love you so much and youve been great. But guess what? Your going to be a grandma!!! And explain everything. Let her know you made a mistake but you are willing to learn from it. And you will keep the baby and so on.

But make sure you are pregnant. Good luck! Let us know how it goes!

When did being pregnant stop anyone from getting their education?

If you have plans to go to college.. Do that! You've obviously decided you're keeping your baby. Tell your mother..As mad as you think she's going to be.. She'll get over it. And it may even bring the two of you closer than ever.

Your mom is the one person who can help you. As for your plans for school there's alot and I mean alot of programs out there that help young women like yourself finish their education so they can make a life for themselves and their children. Don't give up on your dreams and don't be afraid or ashamed to ask for help.

You should tell your mom as soon as possible. It will give you ambision to go to the doctor and such. I was so mad at my mom for telling my grandmother that I was pregnant (my grandmother raised me), but once the cat was out of the bag I jumped on making sure my baby was healthy. If you hide it chances are you will do anything to hide it, including not going to the doctor, because she might find out. I finished school and graduated with my class, but instead of going to college (not saying that you can't) I decided to become an insurance producer, which includes less schooling with a career goal. But you can do anything you put your mind to.

Good luck and congrats,
