Confirmed Pregnant But Very Concerned I Miscarried! Posted: 08-14-04 08:53am
I am 7 wks preg. And 5 days ago it was
confirmed by ultrasound, I even saw the
heart beat on ultrasound. The ultrasound
was done transvaginally and since I have
had some brown vaginal discharge. Only on
the toilet tissue when I go to the
bathroom. Not alot but it is concerning
could I have miscarried. I have had no
cramps or actual red or pink bleeding.
This is my second pregnancy and it is
nothing like the first , I had sore
breasts but they aren't anymore, which
concerns me as well and unlike my first
pregnacy I have no nausea. I am so
concerned my son is 61/2 and he so wants a
brother or sister. Help.

Sounds like you just got a bit of cervix
irritation maybe from the transvaginal
probe.
Often symptoms are different with
subsequent pregnancies. Also mybe it is a
different sex baby.
My first pregnancy I was sick from day one
but had no cramping or sore boobs.
Now I am pregnant again (but this will be
my first baby )
and i've had no sickness but really sore,
heavy boobs and cramping like bad period
pain.
Best way to set your mind at rest would be
to go back to your doctor and explain your
worries.
Hope evrything goes well and you keep us
up to date.

Did you call your ob/gyn??They usually
want to know about any spotting right
away!It could be nothing to worry
about,but just to be safe,call your
doc.They have an answering service that
will get in touch with them,and no,you are
not bothering your doctor.That's why they
get paid the big bucks!!Hope everything is

When I had mine they warned me about
spotting and stuff... Be careful.

I hope I can put your mind at ease a
little. I have four children, and only
the last three did I have spotting every
time from seven to ten weeks. And, every
time I called my doctor frantic that
something was wrong. Nothing was ever
wrong... From about seven weeks till
around ten the placenta is growing deeper
into the uterin wall, and if you are
sensitive to it, it can cause some light
spotting. With some pregnancies it was
brown, and some of my others it was a
watery pinkish/red.
Now, I hope yoy feel a little better,
but most certainly call your doctor, and
let them know.
