I've been on the bc pill for 2 months now.
It's the end of my 2nd cycle and it seems
that when I took to first active pill on
sunday my period almost totally stopped.
Then when I went to the bathroom for a
bowel movement it started again. Then it
began to taper off again today until I had
sex and after sex its just started again!
I used to have this on depo. It also
happened at the end of my last cycle and
stopped around the 4th active pill and
didn't happened again until now. Does
anyone knwo what could be causing it?

Cassy,
out of curiousity what birth control are
you currently on? Regardless of what
birth control you are on, you may incur
some spotting throughout the month. Depo
is most known for irregular bleeding but
realistically any method of birth control
can cause irregular bleeding. Good news
though, that more regular you become with
your current birth control, you most
likely will stop any irregular bleeding.
Some women have irregular bleeding and
some don't . It just varies from person
to person. If you have been on this
current type of birth control for a while
and still are having irregular bleeding
you may want to consider switching to
another kind until you find one that works
for you.
I hope this helped.

Rig now i;mon ortho tri cyclen lo. I
switched from depo a little over 2 months
ago because I had such horrible bleeding
all the time. So far I haven't had any
irregular bleeding for the past cycle
inbetween my period except for these days
right after I start taking the active
pills again.Right now it seems that my
period has just restarted and i've already
taken 2 active pills.

That is breakthrough/irregular bleeding.
It will usually be right after your period
at the beggining of your new cycle pack.
Again if it is a bother, youc can try and
switch to another birth control or just
keep with this one and see if your
spotting stops.

That happened to me when I first started
my ortho tri cyclen lo. The first two
packs were hell. I just kept bleeding,
but then the third, fourth, fifth, and
sixth packs have been amazing. My period
is sooo regular, I can time it on the
clock, lol. Just give it a month or two
longer, and i'm sure everything will be
regular and fine!! Also, I dont have any
breakthrough bleeding anymore! Wooohoo!

Cassy.. I used to get the same thing on
ortho (regular, not lo) during the last 2
days or so. It would seem like it would
go away and start back up again. I think
sometimes if your flow is not heavy, your
muscles can hold back some of the flow and
when you relax them, such as a bm or
having sex, it's like opening up the gate
again and anything that was backed up will
come out. Realistically your period
probably never ended, but the flow wasn't
strong enough for the rest of it to come
out regularly.
