The last week I have had a sore throat on and off. It feels dry and is hard to swallow and hurts really bad. I do not have any other symptoms of a cold, I am curious as to what it may be since it started when i found out I was pregnant

Sore throat
I wouldn't assume it has anything to do with the pregnancy, unless your stress of it built up into a head cold. Stress always has its way of turning into a cold somehow. Either way, just treat it as though it's another sore throat----gurgle salt water like there is no tomorrow! Saltines and tomato soup are heavenly for sore throats also.

I hope I've been of some help to you! Get well!
