Pregnant Week After Period? Posted: 08-17-04 10:42am
I'm just wondering how many of you got
pregnant the week after your period? I
know that ovulation usually occurs 14 days
before your next period but it could be
different for some people, right? I'm
wondering what the odds are I guess of
concieving the week after your period ends
and how long can the sperm actually stay
in your body? Annyy answers to any of
these question would be greatly
appreciated! Thanks.

It depends on the length of your cycle.
Sperm lives up to five days in there.
There is definitely only a small window in
which fertilization happens, it just
happens to vary from one body to the next.

It is very possible to have sex a week
after your period and for a few sperm to
still be hanging round when an egg is
released (even on a text book cycle)
so technically you won't have gotten
pregnant that week but yeah...
When you factor in different ovulation
days as well it becomes even more
possible
plus to make dating pregnancies easier by
the time you concieve (in a text book
cycle) you are classed as 2weeks pregnant!
