How long after you have a baby do u bleed
for? I was just curious because im not
really looking forward to start bleeding
next week...So I was curious on how long
that usually lasts for, and how long
should u wait until u start exercising a
lil bit? Thanks

I heard it can last anywhere from 2 to 6
weeks. I also heard that you are supposed
to wait til you get the ok from your
doctor before you start exercising... But
its different with every doctor and
person, ask yours what they think you
should do.

Well at first (sorry kinda gross) its
quite a bit with clots.. But thats only
the first few days.. Usually bout 2 weeks
u'll bleed... Im now just gettin it very
very lightly, but if u increase activity
(such as walking lots in one day) ur
bleeding can come back and that'll last up
to 6 weeks... After that, it should stop.
But if u breastfeed, u dont get ur period
so u can hold off that for another few
weeks lol!

I dont know if you guys have the brand
there, but here we have libra goodnights
with wings, they are also designed for
maternity use and are thin pads, but the
soak up really well......
As for post partum bleeding it normally
lasts from 2-6 weeks, first heavy some
times with clots, any clots larger than
your thumb nail in the first few hours
should be shown to a nurse just in
case.... After the first few days the
bleeding should go to about the same as a
period, then gradually go lighter and
become a browny colour, if you bleed for 4
weeks, generally the bleeding after four
weeks may get a little heavier because it
will be your first period since the birth,
after that you will be normal again, and
can start using tampons again for your
next period.
