Grandparents Names

Okay I just started thinking, what is my
baby supposed to call his or her
grandparents. He/she will have two
grandmothers, one step grandmother, two
grandfathers, two great grandmothers, one
step great grandmother, one great
grandfather, and two great great
grandmothers. My poor little baby will
be so confused. I can just imagine a
puzzled look on his/her face. Do ya'll
have any ideas?

Dude - I didnt think about
that...Nathaniel will have 2 grandmothers,
2 grandfathers, and 2 great grandmothers,
2 great grandfathers, 1 step great
grandmother, 1 step great grandfather,and
1 great great grandmother. I dont think
he'll ever understand where he got them
all from and why most of them have the
same last name. Haha

I know what you mean. I can see the baby
confused, because I am too.

That's just what I mean. But that won't
work for me, b/c to many of the
grandparents have the same last name. I
think i'll just let the baby call everyone
by his/her first name. And since babies
usually don't pronounce a word correctly
from the start, the name will get
distorted, and that will be that
grandparents name to the baby. Is that a
good idea?

Oh! I was just naming mine, not
necessarily making a suggestion. I hate
it when grandparents are called by their
last names! We know some of them...
Step-grandmother pinder
grandfather pinder
great grandmother pinder - granny
great grandfather pinder - granddaddy
great grandmother sittle - nana
step great grandmother clifton - mamaw
step great grandfather clifton - papaw
grandmother spiceland - grammer
grandfather spiceland
step-grandmother spiceland
great grandmother spiceland - grammer
inki
great grandfather spiceland - grandad
great grandfather farrow - grandad cres

Lol, nathaniel wil probably call my
parents grandma and grandpa. And then
chris' parents (if I ever let them see
him) grandamomma and granddad cuz thats
whats chris calls his grandparents. And
then my grandparents will tell him what to
call them...Just cuz they're like
that...Except for my step grandparents who
will go by james and darlene. Lol this
is so confusing..I'm getting confused
talking about. Haha - I feel sorry for
the poor kid.

We called my mom's parents pa and granny,
but they are gone now. And we called my
dad's mom "mamma dot" cause her name was
dorothy. She is also gone. I only have
my dad's dad left and we call him dandaddy
cause his name is dan! I know, silly!
I have a puppy and my parents claim him as
their 'granddog!!' we call my parents
'sha' and grandad for him!! My mom's
name is shannon. Good luck to those who
have a bunch of grandparents!! I would
actually like to have more grandparents
than one!
Love,
megan
