FYI to all with or suspecting dysfunctional gallbladders--there was a study done that PPI's (certain antacids) were found to reduce gallbladder function (in healthy individuals that were tested). Can search on "ppi gallbladder function" and / or check out http://www.medscape.c om/viewarticle/503676

I was on one for a few days when I presented with the nausea, heartburn, and mid-chest pressure last Oct/Nov. While the PPI did help with the heartburn, after a couple days I had horrible dizziness / nausea / mental-fog that cleared up when I stopped taking them. At the time I thought it was just a side effect and I switched to an H2 blocker which also stopped the heartburn without the nasty effects.

I still don't know if my GB is the problem or not, I don't have any stones, but that and a few other reasons have me keeping it on the list. I'm hoping to find out via tests in the next few months.

Eihcet, have you ever read the information on sensiblehealth.com? It's very interesting, especially the stuff pertaining to the liver and gall bladder. I'm taking a break from the supplements I was taking because they were causing me to get migraines and I've decided to try the suggestions on sensiblehealth.com. I do feel better than I did in Dec and Jan, but I do still feel pain in my gall bladder region, though I can tolerate it now. I also wanted to mention that a person can still have gall stones even though they don't show up on an ultrasound or CT scan. I wouldn't be surprised if most people these days have some stones and sludge in their gall bladders. Our bodies just can't process the hydrogenated oils/fats that are found in most snacks and convenience foods these days. It sticks to our arteries and probably is getting stuck in our livers and gall bladders. I'm glad you posted that on the antacids. I had read that too. How have you been feeling?
