I recently (2 months ago) had sex with a
woman that has cervical dysplacia (+ for
hpv). I don't have a wart but I do have
what looks like dry skin on the shaft of
my penis that is a red patch and peels
daily. It's been there about a week and
hasn't went away. It did hurt went it
first appeared from the skin cracking and
when I used some elocon ( topical rx
cream) it started to go away. I have
tested negative for herpes. This happened
to me a couple of years ago and when I
quit using a ceratin lotion it went away.
It hasn't gotten any worse and there are
no bumps. I don't have any money right
now to go to the doctor. Has anyone else
had this? If so is this a wart (flat
wart)? Or am I worring for nothing?
Thanks

You may get a better response if you put
this in the men's sexual health forum.
Good luck.

Sounds Like.... Posted: 10-12-04 13:05pm
I hope you already have this cheacked out
by a doctor...But if not, it doesnt sound
like warts or hpv...Although since you
were exposed to it, you may still get it.
But hpv can be dormant for years before
you would even see a symptom. The dry
skin and red patch sounds like a yeast
infection. They are contagious and have
to be treated. (not a big deal, but
painful, itchy and contagious) yeast
infections are common and easily treated.
Good luck and take care....Let me know
how that worked out for you.
