Q: Pregnancy After Depo Provera

I have a friend who had a son about 3 1/2 years ago and immediatley went on the depo shot it has been about 18 months since last shot and she deperately wants a baby she has been trying but nothing is happening could there be something wrong? Confused

Everyone is different. I was on depo after my first and I was the lucky 1% that was on my period almost constantly while on depo. I ended up conceiving while on depo!! If she's been off for that long, then maybe it's time to get checked out. It may also not even be an issue with her, it could be a low sperm count on her partners part. I'm not a doctor, but I know that the more you stress about it, the harder it will be to conceive. Good luck! :d

Congrats All the Way
In a surge of luck when I talked to her yesterday after writing this post I found out that she had taken a pregnacy test and it came pack positive.

How wonderful!!! Good for her!! I on the other hand have made a doctor appt since I have no clue what my body is doing!! I think i'm pregnant but my test are coming back negative and my period is not normal at all. There's no blood! Lord help me!! Smile

Glad to her she has the result she wants.
Here is what schering have to say about contraceptive injections

"periods often become irregular or stop, and some women gain weight. Regular periods and fertility make take a year or so to return after stopping the injections, so this method is only suitable if you want long term cantraception."

*same thing is happening to me srosebud! I havnt had my period since june 18th!. I have taken several test and all negative. ? I have to go to the doctors but cant yet, for many reasons.
