Ok, i'm reposting this topic now that I
know the other brand name for my new pill
and I probably should stop replying to
myself.
i'm on ortho tri cyclen lo right now but
at the end of this pack i'm supposed to
start alesse/levlite (i guess it's known
by two diffrent names and the first seems
more popular). I kept having periods that
were a week and a half long. Now they
stopped though every time I have sex I
bleed all over again for about 2-3 hours
then stop.
More estrogen was the common answer to
making it stop, however planned parenthood
switched me to a pill with even less
estrogen. Otcl has .025 mg in each pill,
alesse/levlite only has .020 mg. The only
difference is it's a monophasic pill
instead of triphasic and I think it has
more progesterone potency in it.
I'm supposed to try it for two months,
thne tell them if it got any better but I
can just see this blowing up in my face
again. I even told them I thought I
needed more estrogen. I'm not sure of
their thoughts behind this new pill and
how it could stop the long periods.
Anyone have any idea?
