Hey, I just got my depo shot today and for
some reason it hurt like hell!! It sent
a pain all the way down my arm as I was
being injected and it still hurts!! Was
a nerve hit and if so, should I be
concerned? This is my 5th shot and 4th
one in the arm and I have never had this
problem before.

Hey I think my sister gets them in her
butt cheek. You should probably ask the
doc, but I know my sister says it hurts
for a good while

Man! Maybe it is just a particularly
painful shot, like tetanus.

My bf says that maybe the speed of the
injection this particular time pissed the
muscle fibers off. I have had the shot 5
times and 4 times in the arm and this
isn't normal.

If they hit a nerve you would probably
have some numbness or tingling or
something like that. The speed of the
injection has a lot to do with it....You
are supposed to insert the needle as fast
as you can. Kinda like playing
darts....Its all in the wrist...Seriously!
You would think the faster you went the
more it would hurt, but its the opposite!
Put some ice and heat on it and you should
be fine! If you arent in a few
days...Call the doc!
Watch for infection signs too! (redness,
swelling, hot to touch, elevated temp)

Perhaps you should consider changing where
