Hi us,
i'm not sure if you have anxiety or not,
you didn't really elaborate on any other
symptoms. You could possibly have mild
anxiety if you only sweat when you get
nervous or mad. Severe anxiety would
involve symptoms such as worrying about
trivual things, anything and everything.
Not being able to be around a lot of
people at the one time, a group of people
talking all at once could possibly sound
like an atomic bomb going off in your
head. You may get irritated much more
easily than someone who doesn't have
anxiety. These are all symptoms of severe
anxiety. Paranoia is another one, such as
going into a supermarket and feeling as
though all eyes are on you and judging
you. You may not take constructive
critisim well at all and may even take it
as though that person has just personally
attacked you. If you feel these things
are happening to you then you really must
see your doctor and get treatment or anti
depressant medication, you may need to try
different types until you find the one
that suits you best.
Regards,

I Sweat Too. Posted: 05-19-04 06:10am
Hey, I know how you feel. I sweat almost
all the time. Especially when I am in an
anxious situation. I have been going
through anxiety for over 2 months now and
I don't like to be around people other
than my family and I don't like to go
anywhere (even the grochery store). I
feel that you may have a little anxiety.
If this is the only symptom you have, then
you should be able to handle it. I
always feel like I can't breath. If you
start feeling other symptoms like
shortness of breath, racing heart and so
on,. Go to the doctor and get checked
out. Ease of the mind helps anxiety
alot.

Girl22 it sounds like you might have panic
disorder as well as anxiety, because I had
those same symptoms too! I just finished
a 12-week group using cbt and it has
eliminated most of my depression and my
panic disorder. The two books we used in
my group are really good and I would
recommend them both highly: been there,
done that? Do this! By sam obitz for
anxiety and depression and mastery of your
anxiety and panic-third edition by
michelle craske and david barlow for panic
disorder.

shortness of breath and rapid heartbeat
were my biggest problems. Cbt teache you
tools to ease your mind and the symptoms
in turn disappear I like the obitz
and burns books best.
