Yea, a lot of people say that. At first
glance it looks like just a receptionist,
but to be a medical administrative
assistant you have to know how to
transcribe, have knowledge of icd-9 and
cpt coding, have knowledge of hospital
insurance billing, have knowledge of
medical office insurance billing, as well
as normal receptionist duties. Most non
specialized administrative assistants are
just receptionists b/c all they have to
know how to do is schedule, take
dictation, communicate, and file. Being
an maa is a lot harder, but since I am
already in the medical feild it makes a
lot of sense to go down this path.

Don't you have to be 18 in your area to be
a cna? Most areas you do.

Ohh, no not down here. You have to be
16. Most girls take a cna course in high
school as an elective. But since I
finished early I never did. I took a 4
week course that started in june.

Yeah, that would upset me too. I have
never been pregnant, but I guess strangers
grab your belly all of the time when you
are preggy? That would really bother me.
