My Last Period... Posted: 09-30-03 22:46pm
My last period was 8 weeks ago today. Me
and my boyfriend did have unprotected sex.
To tell you the god honest trtuth, we did
not expect myperiod to not come! I know
this sounds really horrible but if my
period is ever late we usually do the
"knock it out"method. But usually its not
really "knocking it out" as soon as he'll
penetrate..My period will come down. So
far..No such luck. My breasts are
ectreemely sore, im extreemly fatigued, im
moody and I pee way more than usual. I
cant take it any more. I want to know now
if I am pregnant or not so that I can go
to the doctor and get started on my
vitamins and have a healthy pregnancy! I
feel really bad about all of this b/c I
dont want his family to hate me forever.
I know that they're not like that..But ive
joked about it and they got really hostile
for a hot second. But then I told them I
was just playin. if I
am I dont know how I am going to face
them. We have been together for about
7months, but have been really good friends
for about 2 years. His dad knows that I
might be, but not his mother. Now dont
get me wrong, shes a cool ass lady, but
she, as well as i, knows that we are not
financially ready for a child. The only
reason we had sex with out a condom is
because we were in the "heat of the
moment". I know its stupid, but im sure
everyone has been in that prediciment. Im
not sure if I want to wait waaay until the
5th to take a pregnancy test. What should
I do/think??

I think you should go buy an over the
counter test and see if you're pregnant.
Sounds like you are. Don't worry about
his family either. What's important is
you, your partner and the family you're
creating. Besides families always come
around once the baby is born. Don't
stress yourself over there. Go get a test
tomorrow...Even a store brand one.
Whatever you can afford and find out. But
the 5th is sunday.. So maybe you should
go to a local free clinic before then..
They'll get you started on prenatals and
such.
Best wishes,
ava

Dear barons girl,
i think you are pregnant. I think if you
took a test now you would get a definate
positive. Firstly you are 4 weeks overdue
for a period. Secondly you have all the
common symptoms for pregnancy, sore/tender
boobs, moodiness due to hormone changes,
and frequent urination. You really need
to see your doctor. Ava is right, your
partners family will be fine once they get
over the initial shock of it all, and
besides his father already knows that you
could be, so he is not exactly going to
pass out when you tell him. Maybe you
could tell him first before everyone else,
then he could help with getting everyone
else comfy with the idea. Also don't
forget, they will be grandparents, they
are going to want to see their grandbabies
growing up and be a part of their lives,
so they are certainly not going to go and
ruin it for themselves.
Take care,
.::suzy::.

Just Out of Curiousity... Posted: 10-01-03 06:24am
Would it be possible for one of my
pregnancy tests to still show up negative?
My boyfriends dad told me last night that
I shouldnt waste my money on those home
ppg tests b/c a lot of womens hcg levels
are not strong enough to detect. Also I
know of a lot of women who have taken home
pg tests and getten a steadt flow of
negatives. Ok...Is it possible to get an
accurate reading if when you wake you up
you gotta go really bad? Like on normal
mornings I dont have to go bad..But on
some I do. Should I wait until its a
normal morning??Yes, it has been four
weeks sincee I was due for my period any
my pd for oct is due tomorrow. I know im
not going to get it, so what should I do?
I dont know what to think about anything.

Dear barons girl,
definately take a test if you really need
to know. The tests you buy these days are
very accurate. You don't need a lot of
urine to do a home test so don't worry if
you can not produce a whole bucket of
urine, but it is best if you do the test
in the morning as your hcg levels will
have had time to build up during the night
and will give you a more accurate result.
If you are pregnant, the test should give
you an accurate reading as it has been 8
weeks since your last period. You could
have done a test a day or so after your
period was due and got a reasonably
accurate reading, but you have had an
extra 4 weeks on top of that. Good
luck.
Regards,

I hate it, those tests really can mess up.
I thought I was preg so I got an ept
test and it showed up neg. So I expected
my period to come shortly, (i was only 16)
and wanted to continue with that life.
Me and my bf (at that time) decided we
would start to use condoms every time.
But it was too late, I was already preg.
My period didn't come so I went to the
doc, and I was already 6 wks along.

Help Me Confused Posted: 10-01-03 11:30am
In september I recieved my period for the
normal time that I would have 7 days.
Now I have been experiencing tiredness,
excessive vaginal discharge like a white
milky or a clear and stick discharge, my
breast have been sore and tender but there
not that way all the time, I have been
getting this long lasting pressure in my
lower abdomine for about 2 weeks nothing
painful but annoying, I haven't been able
to eat b/c everything seems so nasty to
me. I took a regnancy test this morning
and it came out negative. I wanted to
know if the test might be wrong b/c I
swear up and down that I am, I feel like I
am. I have been getting almost all the
symthoms.
Is it possible to have your period and
still be pregnant?
Please help me so confused.

I know how you feel. A while ago me and
jose wanted a baby and booom...All these
feelings that I was pregnant came! I was
even throwing up and he was like are you
pregnant! And I said no, my periods
coming. My breasts hurt, I was taking
naps at work! Once you have that feeling
of pregnancy in you, your body starts
making you believe you are. You should be
fine if you just had your period and the
test was negative. Wait to see if your
next period is late ok? Be protected
though!

You can have a period and be pregnant too.
If you really want, go take a blood test.
Because that will tell you. Hoe old are
you? Just asking. Well thats all you can
do. It might be symptoms but it might be
all in your mind too. Good luck!

You can have your period and still be
pregnant......The best thing to do is go
to the doctor and tell him what is going
on....You might have to get a blood
test...Your hgc might not be so strong
for a urine test....Good luck and keep us
posted...

I am 22yrs old and I have a four yr old
son. At first I thought it was stress
but I can rule that out b/c I have been
diagnosed with anxiety and stress and
trust me girl these are not the symthoms I
get.

I definately think buying a home test
would be worth your money. I think it
would show up for you this late in the
game. Also, if you're worried about
vitamins, you can take some
over-the-counter prenatal vitamins.
They're ok to take for a little while even
if you're not pregnant. Then you'll know
you're doing what you can. Don't stress,
it'll be fine.
Good luck

Ok, I don't know how but I missed a lot of
that before I posted my first response.
Yes, your body does do such weird things.
Especially when it comes to being
pregnant. It's something that no matter
how off the timing is, you want. Well, in
most cases. Therefore, your body goes
into eratic mode.
I don't think you are pregnant, but yes it
is possible to have a period. I did when
I was pregnant with my son. I had one
last period and then no more. So the
cheapest and easiest thing for you to do
would be wait until your next period is
due. Then if it doesn't come, you'll know
to go to the Dr.
