School Books
Posted: 08-27-04 13:18pm

I ordered my school books online the other day, and I paid for ups 2nd day air shipping. I paid xtrb/c I wanted to hurry an get my books. And if ya'll have not read this in my posts before, I hate paying for anything that has something to do with school (my mom should be doing this). But anyway, it is so amazing to me that 2nd day air shipping, takes 4 days to be delivered, when the books were sent out the same day I ordered. So I still won't get them until the first day of class, and I won't be here.

Yeah, those dang shipping things are crap. When I lived in myrtle beach my mom would "overnight" me things through the post office and I would get them two weeks later. Of course, I she wouldn't get her money back. They say that those days are just an estimate and they cannot control how long it actually takes. what? Then why do you pay 15.00 more to send something overnight when it would have gotten there faster if you sent it regularly? Who knows.
Yeah, I got mine at the bookstore because I don't trust mail. Also, my mother/father don't pay for my school stuff either. It is all part of being an adult

Yea, that is what I mean. They won't give me my money back. And I wish they would say an "estimate", it said 2nd day air, not estimate. I hate these suckers.

And the school thing gets me too. It really gets me b/c I am 17. I started college when I was 16, and I have to pay for everthing. I think my mom wants me to run through my saving account ,and my trust, so that it'll will be all gone by the time I have control of it. And I think she has been spending my money. I'll have to tell my daddy about this, she has done it before. She claimed the money was used for things I needed, but I don't care.

That sux! Just like my mom using my child support to fill her gas tank so she can go see her bf in north carolina or for other things. My dad wants her to give it to me now to help out with kaelyn but she complains when I ask her for some money, I mean im looking for a job, nothings come up and I need help! But I can totally relate about that, if I had a trust it'd be all gone!

Wow that sux. I havent had that happen yet. I mean like when we bought christmas gifts for joses family. We sent them priority mail. Which was like 18 bucks, and we sent it 5 days before christmas (were always last minute) and they got it in 2 days. Everyone was thinking it would take alot longer considering it was holidays.

I wish, they would get my books to me now. I mean they're here. I wish I could go and pick it up, but they claim that the distribution centers don't have a phone. And they are full of caca.

Well, I had to start buying my own school clothes at 14. And if I ever wanted to go anywhere or do anything I had to pay for it. Kind of hard when you are 14 and have no job! Even when I was 16 I wanted my license. Well, I had to pay to get it but I couldn't get to work without it. So my mom says, "get a job" but she won't take me to work, what? So, needless to say that didn't work out too well. I didn't get my license until I was 18. I had moved out once when I was 14, they made me come back then I moved out again when I was 17 and for good when I was 18.
Anyway, point being it could be a heck of a lot worse. I didn't have a trust or savings to fall back on and had no way to get to work Crying
or Very sad plus my friends, god bless their hearts, paid for me everytime we went to like a movie or something like that. I hated it and it made me feel like scum so a lot of the time I just didn't go anywhere, but they usually made me. Now I don't let them pay for anything everytime we go somewhere! They get mad, but now they know how it feels! Wink
