Boyfriend Smells Badly "down There"
Posted: 08-27-04 23:56pm

I've noticed [very easily, mind you] that my boyfriend's genitals simply smell like something had died in his pants. He thinks it's from years of masturbation and ejaculating in his pants and the semen somehow "implanting" in his skin. He's obviously no sparring gynecologist. Even after a shower and a good, firm cleansing in that area, it still reeks.

I also know for a fact that he's a virgin and has never made any "secondary" sexual contact, like oral or anal, so I think I can safely rule out the possibility of any stds.

......

Under these circumstances, does anyone know what could possibly be causing this horrible smell?

Does he wash there thoroughly and every day? Also, tell him to cut some of that hair off--it's a breeding ground for bacteria producing odor

I was wondering is he circumcised? Because some people I know say circumcised men never stink ever. Thats why I asked. May be that playes a part because he does not clean under his forskin may be?

That could very well be, shawn0000. My boyfriend isn't circumcised. But then again I don't think he knows how to do the whole retraction of foreskin thing either.

Well, he says he isn't circumcised...I have never seen an uncircumcised male so I don't know the difference between the two o.O o.O

but i'll ask him if he's sure. I also told him i'd ask a physician about it. Do you guys know if gynecology deals specifically with women or does it cover both genders?

well I am not circumcised and all I do to is pull the skin that covers the head of his penis and clean under it. So far that has kept me from smelling down there. So good luck

Well I did a dogpile search for my own references, and from what I saw, I think I can safely say that he is circumcised, because there is no foreskin that covers the head of his penis. So that can be ruled out as well.

And thank you, patty, for the advice. I had contacted a gynecologist earlier this afternoon and they told me that his best bet would be to make an appointment. The only thing they told me was that it could be an infection (very general, I know...)

.........

I don't think he's going to be very fly about having a stranger touching him, though. He's really antsy. But I guess I probably would be too.

Thanks for all your help, though. I appreciate it ^-^

.....

Scaredbaka - will have to simply coat him with after shave from now on

He needs to clean himself.
You can get infections from that.
Your boyfriend really needs some sex ed and just some general ed about his body. You don't smell from years of masturabation. He needs to practice personal hygiene.
You said in a couple previous posts that your boyfriend is not circumcised. How did you not know? You said that he told you that he wasn't...Doesn't he know the difference?

I hate to say it most guys don’t actually know whether there circumcised or not. You probably could ask most guys and get the answer isn’t that a jewish thing?

I have never met a guy who didn't know if he was circumcised or not. How could you not know? It is obvious....And it isn't a jewish thing. I mean, yes, jewish men are circumcised but so are most of the other american men. Very silly. I don't think I would want to date a guy who didn't even know if he as circumcised or not!Lol! That is like me not knowing if I had hair on my cookie or not.

I think he believed that he wasn't circumcisedbecause he made a wise comment about his yank to his friend when they were turtle hunting at the local pond, and I suppose that my boyfriend thought he wasn't "cut", because he says the head of his penis retracts beneath the skin (painfully sometimes) when it's completely flat. Neither one of us knew what the anatomy of an uncircumcised male looked like, so we assumed.

But anyway, I asked about this on another message board, and someone said it could possibly be something called gardenella or gardnerella or something along those lines. I've never heard of it. have you guys?

and not only does his genital area stink, but his belly button stinks even worse for some reason. With both those topics on that other message board, many people suggested an infectious or fungal growth in his skin.

.............

Any thoughts?

Well I have never had any infection of any sort. So I can not relate. But I have smelled on occasion because I did not shower or something. But then again I am not circumcised so who knows.

Belly buttons stink when not washed. Other than that, I don't know.

Scaredbaka, go to google.Com and click images and then put it "circumsized penis" or "uncircumsized penis" it will show pictures of flaccid and erect penis. Then he will know which one he is! Lol

as for the smelly problem.... Does he wash good between his legs? I mean way up between his legs, like his lower crotch area? I dont want to be rude in any way, but is he rather heavy?? It could just be hard for him to reach a certain spot. My bf is not heavy, but he often has an odor down there. Its not a bad odor, just like... A sweaty smell. Not like bo though! Its nothing repulsive though, I still go down on him willingly!! Hah

How deep is his belly button?
I suffer from infections in my belly button because it is really deep (i can't see the end of it and a q-tip will go in about 1/2 way before it touches the end Shocked )
but I know this so I put anti-septic into it and make sure I dry it real well with cotton buds after I shower.

His belly button has always had an odor to it, and he only washes it if the smell is really bad. But lately it's been smelling worse because it's been bleeding for no apparent reason from the inside o.O

don't worry, you aren't being rude ^-^. But yes he is heavier than most guys (about 245 pounds), and I know this is mean to say about him, but he does have a bit of a gut on him. He says that he doesn't like washing too far down because of his testicles (yes he's very sensitive). I know how he smells when it's only body odor, and I can handle that...But this stench smells like something dead and festering. I usually yack when I smell it and I sometimes have to hold my breath if I give him oral sex >.<

he wants me to come and stay with him this summer for a year...Perhaps I can wash down there for him when he's in the shower - he might like that :d

but until then, i'm going to keep trying to persuade him to go and get a check up, if not for his genitals, then for his belly button, which has bled three times since saturday.

Okay, if his belly button is bleeding, there is a problem. I'm almost positive he has some sort of a cyst on his stomach right inside his bellybutton. My boyfriend had this on his lower back, right above where his butt crack started. All of the sudden he just had this hole in his back, and it turned out it was a cyst. He had it removed and then had to pack it with gauze for a couple weeks afterwards. His dr said its common for teenaged men to get these cysts on their lowerback, and stomach/abdomen area.

My bf is also 250 pounds. Mainly muscle, but he goes have a gut. He does not smell at all however. I think your boyfriend might have a yeast infection down by his testicles. This is common in all sweaty areas of the body that arent properly washed, especially in males. He really needs to go to the doctor and get things cleared up. All the doc will do is give him an ointment to put down there, its no big deal!!!

How old is he? I think its a little immature that he knows he smells down there, and wont do anything about it. Who wants to date the smelly kid??

I too have had bleeding from my belly button (scared me half to death)
my doc said I just got a boil in there (cos it's deep) and it must have burst.
This has happened a couple of times but so far not since I put anti-septic cream on a cotton wool ball most nights and pop it in.

Ummm, that could be one of the problems. If he only washes it when it smells really bad? Your boyfriend really needs some personal hygiene lessons.
