I am 19 week's pregnant and I found out on
my last doctor's visit that I have grade 3
dysplasia...Doctor said grade 4 was full
blown cancer ....I
am scared because I don't want this to
form into cancer but I am worried about my
child also!!! They said that they were
going to do a biopsy at 28week's, does
this mean that they will more than likely
induce my labor early?? I know if this
turn's into cancer before 28week's that it
could be a bad thing!! Has anyone gone
threw this before?? Or are any of you
going threw it now?? Please help!!

Gone Through Grade 3 Dysplasia Posted: 12-11-04 12:49pm
Hi, i'm going to tell you not to worry
and that everything will be fine however I
know you will still worry. I'm 24 and
yesterday just had treatment for grade 3
dysplasia. Not only was my cervix covered
but it had spread up into my tubes or
"canal" as my doctor called it. I was
scared that I couldn't have kids b/c of
this and the only reason why I found out
about the dysplasia was because I was
having a pap test done for my
endometriosis that I just found out that I
had also. Last few months have been full
of tears. Get treated. Not too scare you
but don't let it wait. I will be honest,
I don't know how the whole pregnancy thing
will work, but i'm sure from all the
procedures they can do your baby won't be
affected at all. All the procedures I was
told leave tissue scarring which would
make it difficult to get pregnant(for me).
The treatment my doc decided to do, took
15 minutes and was chryotherapy "freezing"
which does not go anywhere near your baby.
All it does is freeze the bad cells so
that they fall out. You will feel
cramping (like period cramps), and
afterwards will have to wear a pad from
the uncontrollable fluid that comes out
and thats it. You go back every 4 -6
months to check up. So don't worry your
baby will be fine, its your own body you
have to get fixed and worry about first.
Hopes this helps a little
