Weight Gain/appetite? How Soon to Try Hpt??? Posted: 08-30-04 17:08pm
He ya'll ok got up for class this morning
felt fine.........Got to school and of
course I was a little tired. I start at
7:30am-so I am up at 6am-so I am ruling
out the fatigue issue of being preg?? I
get home at 3pm.......And I have a nap, my
appetite last week was very light now this
week I am a hungy bear!! I stomach just
feels frumpy so I am honestly still a
little concerned. How soon can I take a
hpt I am not expecting my period until
about the 7th of sept.......Can I take one
now? Will it show up if I am preg?!?!

No, its not going to show an accurate
result until 4 days before your first
missed period, so that would be the 3rd.

If you're lucky there is just a slight
chance your hpt will show a definitive
result as early as 4 days before your
period is due. But, I would try to wait
until the 7th to take the test. It still
my come back with inaccurate negative
results at that point even if you are
pregnant. So if it does come back neg,
definitely retest the following week to
make sure.
