I have been off the depo-provera shot for
about 4 months now I have been having a
period for 2 weeks straight. While on
depo, I only spotted a tiny bit but never
had a period. I am wondering when this
period will stop and will it ever get back
to my normal 3-4 day time period?

Your body needs time to adjust. It may take
a while,a real pain,i know.I stopped the
pill in late april and I am still trying
to get back on track. My doc said it can
take up to six months to straighten
out!!Yuk!!!Call your doc and ask if there
is anything you should be doing. You will
probably be told to be patient.Good luck
to you.Patty

I agree!! Your body does need time to
adjust. I've been on depo for 10 months.
For the past two months straight i've
been spotting and bleeding. I have read a
lot of posting and I see that this is
common when using depo. Once november
comes around and i'm due for my next shot
i'm switching! My doc told me that once
you have been on depo for 6 months, what
you have is what you'll stay with
(bleeding wise). I'd suggest stay on it
for two more months and see if there is
any change. I hope this helps.

She is bleeding because she went off of
depo, not because she is on it.
I cannot tell you how long it will take,
because everyone is different. It is a
real pain, I know. And depo really does
a number on your body. But, give it
time!
