Hey there... I was hoping to find anyone
with more information on mycoplasma, a
bacteria that can be present in the uterus
and cause a miscarriage.
My mother had mycoplasma just before she
was trying to have me... She had 3
miscarriages at all stages of gestation..
One baby was even at 4 months.
I had myself a miscarriage 3 months ago
and am pregnant again (yay!). But due to
this knowledge i'm sort've worried. I
know a lot of miscarriages happen for
genetic reasons, and it's quite normal in
women, so because of this they won't
really check for things like mycoplasma
until after 2-3 miscarriages. The other
thing about my miscarriage was it was
"missed", meaning the baby died at around
8 weeks pregnancy and I didn't start to
bleed until 13-14 weeks!
Does anyone have any more information
about mycoplasma caused miscarriages?
Are there any other symptoms? Can I
still be checked for it through a
pregnancy at request? If I had it, could
I take the antibiotics and this baby still
be okay? Any other information would be
helpful. Thanks
