Hi, has anyone had any weight loss whilst on medication for epilepsy. Im on lamotrigne and have droped from 9 stone to 8. Has anyone else had problems with weight loss or gain.

Tracyb, hi, yeah, when I was on depakote I gained alot (about 30 lbs) and about 2 years ago the doctor had me on topamax and zonegrane and I lost alot of weight..... I was looking like a walking skeleton. I hope this helps, if you have any questions just ask..... Jill

My partner has been on epanutin for 9 years. He lost about 15 lbs when he started on the drug and now, despite a very healthy appetite his weight won't go above 10 stones (140lbs)!
