Can Someone Help Please?!? Posted: 09-07-04 03:16am
I am 20 years old and afraid I may be
pregnant. I went to the doctor about 2
months ago with nausea and vomiting on
7/7/04 and the doctor wanted a pregnancy
test taken. My urine test came back
positive and my blood test negative.
Well when I went back to the doctor again
on 9/1/04 with headaches the doctor again
recommended a pregnancy test. I thought
that a bit odd considering I haven't had
sex since a week before my last doctor
visit on 7/7/04. But non the less I went
through with taking the tests and again my
urine test came back positive and blood
tests came back negative. I thought this
a bit odd considering I have never had
urine tests come back positive till these
2 occasions, so I requested copies of my
blood results to take to a obgyn. Well I
have 2 copies of the blood work results
for two different dates. The tests it
are exactly alike on one section and look
like so ...
pregnant females:
positive

i am confused about the "pregnant females:
positive" part. I do notice that I
feel different and my belly button has
been itchy since before the last results
but I also think this could all be
sub-conscious as well. However, I
am really worried I may be pregnant
because im a dental assistant and I am
exposed to radiation each day and i'm
afraid I may be harming my baby if I am
pregnant. I have an appt for 9/10/04
but I am stuck with these unanswered
questions on my mind until then. My mom
is pregnant right now herself and she isnt
too happy about the thought of me being
pregnant because I think she feels I will
take the attention off her since this
would be both my parents first grandchild,
so I cant really ask her. Can someone
please help me? I am really worried.

My best friend had the same problem her
urine came back positive but, the blood
test negative. Her urine came back
positive because her hormones were all out
of wack from birth control. Your blood is
more accurate then your urine what have
your doctor said about the two different
results and by the way she was not
pregnant.

I do not take any birth control. But I
guess im going to have to wait till my
appt with the ob gyn on thursday. Thnx
for your comments anyways. If anyone
else has any opinions or knows anything

Well from what I was told i'm not pregnant
but either way the doctor scheduled me for
a transvaginal sonogram to make sure I am
not. Being that i've had multiple
results of yes and no's they chose to
schedule a sonogram to be sure ... So
now I wait even longer to find out a
definite answer. I'm hoping soon the
questions will be answered so I can go
about my business and not worry about
radiation exposure to my stomache as much
as I worried before. To be honest ...
As much as I would love to be a mother ...
Right now isnt the right timing so I
pray that whatever "god" has intended for
me he do what is in "his" will. If I am
pregnant the father already says he isnt
taking from his daughter to give to this
baby so I know I would struggle for sure.
Please pray for me! Pray that whatever
"god" has intended for me that "his" will
be done. Thnx everyone!!!
