So they have no clue on what happened? So
like sids, but still in the belly? How
did everything happen? Like how did they
find out etc...?

Someone said it was a miscarriage.
Technically, a miscarriage is any
pregnancy loss that occurs before 20 weeks
gestational age, which is approximately up
to the 5th month.
Usually after the 6-7 month it is class'
as something else like toxemia that can
cause the baby to devolp to term, be born
premie or still born.
I don't know what it is, but whatever it
is, I hope she gets through it.

You can miscarry any time during your
pregnancy. Its just on average, they
happen before week 20. If they happen
past that, they are called a "late
miscarrige". A miscarrige is the baby
dying before it was born, before going
into labor, and a still born, is a baby
that is born dead, which usually dies
during labor cuz it couldnt handle the
stress, or the umbilical cord got wrapped
around the neck, ect... A preemie, is a
baby that is born before week 37, and does
not have anything to do with miscarrige.

i never said a preemie had anything to do
with a miscarriage and second of all what
im saying because it is pasted 20 weeks.
It could been something like a placenta
abruption or chromosome abnormalities.
Thirdly. A miscarriage (sometimes called
a spontaneous abortion) is when a baby
dies before the 20th week of pregnancy.
Stillbirth is the death of a baby after
the 20th week of pregnancy but before
delivery.

70% of miscarriages that occur before 20
weeks are due to chromosomal
abnormalities.

to why, some happens?

their opinions and views and I respect

But I honestly believe in all fairness and
respect to angelic, im not discussing her
childs death and the causes. I understand
what she is going through right now and I
will leave it as that.

No it's not you are trying to read between
the lines. What I stated was the facts.
I don't know the girl and quite frank, I
don't know if she did or if she didn't
have a miscarriage, because I haven't
spoken to her. But what I stated was
facts that can be found anywhere.

Ok I understand there are slight
variations from country to country, but
all the info I can find, claims:
* a miscarriage is loss of baby before 24
weeks pregnancy
* a still birth is any baby born dead
after 24 weeks
* a pre-mature baby is any baby born alive
before 36 weeks
* a term baby any baby born alive after 36
weeks.
If the young lady in question was more
than 24 weeks then technically she did not
miscarry, but she had a still birth.
Either of these is devastating

when you expecting" about miscarrying.
" after the 20th week, when the fetus may
be able to live outside the uterus, even
if only alot of help from the neonatal
nursery staff and equipment, the event is
labeled a preterm birth. The cause of
late miscarrige is usually related to the
mothers health, the condtion of her cervix
or uterus, her exposer to certain drugs or
other toxic substances, or ptoblems to the
placenta."

if you deliver your baby before 37 weeks,
it's called a preterm birth and your baby
is considered premature.
Considering gestational ages, a late
miscarriage is around the time of 16-24
weeks' and preterm delivery is around the
time of 24-37 weeks' , babies born between
37 - 42 weeks are called full term.

Okay, then explain to me how my friend
miscarried at 8 months? No, it was not a
stillbirth. The baby died in the womb.
The doc said it was a miscarriage.
Anyway, in case this girl is for real, I
don't think it is very nice for people to
be picking on her and calling her fake. I
am sure that is not what she needs right
now.
I am so sorry that this happened and I
will keep you in my prayers.

Frick, the doc can say whatever he wants.
The doc can tell me I have breast cancer
today, remove my breast tomorrow, and then
come back 2 weeks later saying, it was a
mistake on his behalf, I never had breast
cancer, and believe me that has happened
before.
Technically what your friend had was a
still birth. I could be wrong, which
would also make my Dr. And profess wrong
too, but every doctor does and says things
differently so I am not going to make a
exact comment. Just what I know from
being taught and reading.

everybody calls it a miscarriage no matter
how far along the mother is, but
supposedly, the actual medical definition
of a miscarriage is death of the fetus
before 20 weeks.
