I have been on ortho tri-cyclen for the
past four years and have never been late
in taking it. I just had my period from
sept. 16th through the 21st. However,
before I started my new pack on the 21st,
I had unprotected sex with my long-term
boyfriend on saturday the 20th. Just in
the past week or so, I think I have
noticed some pregnancy symptoms and am
wondering if it is possible to have gotten
pregnant. Will I still get my period if
I am on the pill even if I am pregnant?
Or will my period skip like it normally
would? I don't know if I am being
totally paranoid or not!

Sweetie, I dont know if thats actually
possible but it sounds like it is possible
- you mite want to get a pg test or a
blood test done to see if you are though

If you had your period from the 16th-21st,
you would have been on your placebo pills,
correct? Even though you are not taking
pills with hormones, you are still
protected.
There have been countless times that my
husband and I had sex during the time I
was taking the placebos (though not on my
period), and nothing has ever happened.
You 'should' be ok--but you won't know
until your next period is due. You could
be worrying yourself sick. Good luck.

Actually of all things....My doc put me on
the patch when it first came out a while
ago....I had my last period in
may.....Come july.....While I was still on
the patch......I got pregnant...I am now
almost 21 weeks pregnant....I have known
many people to get pregnant on bc.......So
it might be best to wait for a
while....Than take a test.......Dont panic
too bad yet or you will psych yourself
out.......I psyced myself out....Lol

With you being on birth control for so
long, it lessens your chances of you
getting pregnant. It is still possible
though. What kind of symptoms are you
having?
I wouldn't worry until you've actually
missed a period. Then go buy yourself a
test and you'll know and feel better. You
definately don't want to stress out about
it because it will delay you're period and
leave you confused. So, just wait and see
and you'll be fine.
