I Really Need Help! It's About My Mother.. Posted: 09-08-04 23:39pm
I'm not sure if it's an eating disorder
but everywhere we go they say she's fine
but I can literally see her wasting away.
I'm like thirteen, so I really don't have
anyone to talk to.
A few years back my mom had surgery to
loose weight and she's lost alot. She's
the same weight with me at 120. She
started having problems with her stomach
and sicknesses and we found out she had
diabetes then all her stomach pains got
worse and she had her appendix taken out
not a day too late. Not a few months ago
she had a seizure (isn't that where your
sugar level gets low or something? I
don't know..) but anyways lately she has
just been getting worse, she's started
smoking and i've tried telling her to stop
but she can't because of stress at work
and she can't take days off because she'll
be fired. I'm afraid because she looks so
pale and unhealthy and very boney. I
don't see how they can say she's healthy.
A few days ago her tooth came out
aswell.
Does anyone have any ideas what could be
wrong? I swear the doctors here are
terrible and keep saying she's fine but
something tells me she isn't.

Ive heard of problems witth that surgery
so it could be side effects from it and
she neeeds to see a doc asap. But shes
obviously also weight concious in order to
get that surgery so it could be e/d
symptoms too.... Can u talk to her about
it?

Hey I no iu am a lil late on this but my
mom had surgey to loos weight and we are
the same size to and I feel like she is
alway competing with me to look better and
it hurts because it is like um ok this is
my mother you should make me feel good
about my self not worse. And I feel like
she is the reason I am bulimic I would
never tell her that but thats just how I
feel :cry: :cry:

mind and ill answer anyone. As long as
shes eating its probably not an eating
disorder but it could be something from
being in the hospital so much. Dont be
bullimic please eat and keep it down!!!!
