When Am I Safe?
Posted: 10-02-03 21:26pm

I was on the pill (alesse) for 6 months and I was off it for two months because I kept putting off getting my prescription renewed... I just started back on the pill 5 days ago and I remember my doctor saying something about it being effective after a month. Is this right? Or is it sooner or later? My guess is a month at the earliest but i'm not too sure... Let me know!!!! Twisted Evil

Contraceptive Pills

You can usually consider yourself safe after taking contraceptive pills for 2 weeks. Some will be different though and there are many. If you read the information leaflet that came in the box with your pills it will tell you on there. In the meantime you will need to use alternative contraception such as condoms etc. Definately take some time to read the information that came with the pack, there is probably other important information you need to be aware of with the particular medication you are taking.

Take care,
