Can This Make You Pregnant???
Posted: 09-13-04 14:27pm

Yesterday was the first day that my birth control pill was suppose to start working, I did forget to take the pill 2 days in a row and on the 3rd day I took 2 pills, still making me miss one day of the pill. Me and my boyfriend have been wanting to try having him cum inside me when my birth control started working, so yesterday we did that for the first time and now im starting to worry about if im pregnant or not since I missed that one day and now im not sure if the pill started working yesterday or if I should of waited a lil longer and im not sure when I get my next period, but I have been getting cramps off and on for almost a week now. Do you think that I could be pregnant??

Thanks sooooo much!!!!!

How long have you been on this pill? When you miss 2 pills in a row, even if you make them up you still have a high chance of pregnancy. Espcially if you just started it. I mean, one pill, you're usually ok but 2 in a row isn't very good at all. Even if you've been on it for moths. I'd say get the morning after pill as fast as you can.

Thank you so very much for replying to this email!! I have been on the pill for exactly 2 weeks and 1 day and thats why I let him cum inside of me because the doctor told me that it took 2 weeks to work but I wasnt sure since I missed 2 and if it worked on that 2 week period! But thats kinda scary!!! I would be verrrry happy if I was pregnant and my boyfriend and my parents would be here and happy for me 100% but my boyfriend rather not have one right now! So everything is a lil confusing, im glad so many other girls go through these things so you have more people to go to!

How old are you and have you gone through any of this stuff before or anything related to it?? Thanks again for replying! Smile

You need to like the previous post said, get the morning after pill, it is effective 72 hours after intercourse. You are not safe missing 2 days in a row, if you miss 2 days in a row, you have to use condoms and/or foam for 7 days. You are at a very high risk espicially just starting the pill, it needs to be taken regularly at the same time frame each day. Hope that helps

The morning after is a pill that os taken after unprotected intercourse to eliminate the case of an unwanted pregnancy it 99% of the time terminates it and it expells it out not a very detailed explanation but it is brief and info good luck

The morning after pill is just 2 pills, taken 12 hours apart. You can get them at planned parenthood for about $45. They need to be given by a doctor prescription, I don't believe you can by them with out it yet. It has different effects on different people. Cramping, bleeding, etc... Its just an extra dose of estrogen. You might really want to consider it, being a mother at 19 is a tough resposiblity that you have your whole life to expereince. And at 18, a guy ususally isn't ready for that kind of committment, no matter how much he loves you. You'll be fine, just think about your future

Also, I can't recall where it is but there is a post on this site about how to use your bc pill as emergency contraception. It has a link. I know it's called 'emergency contraception' or atleast has it in the post's title. You could use that link if you can't get to a clinic.

The morning after pill can cause some cramps, naseua and some unusual bleeding. It also should be taken within 72 hours of when you had sex.

I'm 17 and yeah, i've had 2 scares with pregnancy before. One my boyfriend really wanted me to get the morning after pill (we did basically what you guys did, I left them in a car and we thought they were useless b/c of the heat) but I never did. Turned out I wasnt pregnant but I think the pills were fine in the first place. But if you really want to be sure, i'd try to get the morning after pill.

I thought most doctors say that the pill is not reliably effective until at least a month (some say 3) of taking the pill. And if you really don't want to get pregnant, using condoms as a backup method of contraception is much safer.

Yeah, crazybanana, that is mostly correct. It only takes 7 days until its effective, if it works for ur body! Some women have reactions to them, and you wont know it until you get ur period on time for at least 3 months. So yes, it could be effective then, but it all depends.

Sexyblonde51, I would get the morning after pill. Since u missed some pills in there, you may be pregnant

If you are just starting the pill,it is recommended that you use additional contraception(condom, foam, spermicide gel)for at least 1 month .However,if you want to be certain, always use a backup method. No method is 100%!!Especially if you do not take it correctly 100% of the time!!!You are very fertile in your teen tears and if you skip pills for so many days in a row,you should definitely use a back-up method for the rest of your pill pack! Please read the little info pamphlet that comes with your pills!!There is a lot of info in there. Most people just toss that, but most of what i've posted is in there. If you are going to be sexually active, you need to be responsible with your birth control.Your boyfriend may say he'd be cool with a baby, but,as sexyblonde just found out,it can be very different if that becomes a reality.I would look into the morning after pill, but don't depend on that as a back-up method. You can only take it so many times, and then the doc will not give it to you.Too high a level of hormones in a short period of time is not good for you. When you get your pills from a doctor or nurse practitioner, please make sure you understand how you are supposed to take them!If a healthcare provider just hands you the pills and sends you out the door, they have only done half of their job!!A good doc or nurse will make sure you know what to do if you miss a pill or are having problems.Sorry for the droning on,but so many docs do not give you the whole story, and as a result,so many accidental pregnancies happen!Patty

Morning After Pill

Hey so the morning after pill u say is about $45 from planned parenthood, is that with or without insurance? Do you have to pay for it when you go there? Or do they bill you?

the Pill And the Other Pill
Posted: 09-28-04 03:16am

Doctors tell me if you even miss one dose of the bc pill you should use another form of contraception for the rest of the month. Even missing one pill can leave enough room for ovulation (releasing of an egg). It's not like it's a big deal... It's only the rest of the month (of the pill pack, I mean). Better to play it safe.

The morning after pill needs to be taken like.. 72 hours after possible conception. If it's been a week or whatever it's probably too late. It doesn't hurt but it's a huge dose of estrogen so i've heard it makes you really, really crabby for a while... Bleeding, cramping, etc. It's only something like 85% effective anyway. And the chances of you being pregnant from that one encounter, even if you did ovulate? Slim.

But don't worry. Just keep playing it safe, k? You can't take two pills on one day and expect everything to be in order again. The pill is a delicate thing. And like I say, if you miss one, just use condoms or spermicide or whatever until the end of the pack (that includes the placebo week). If you are pregnant, congrats! You'll be fine.

what is the big obsession with wanted to be cumed into if you don't want children? I don't get it! I'm not an uptight health forum, I enjoy cum it's cool. But what hit you on the head so hard that you would concider being cumed into for no good reason. It doesn't feel that great. It stays there for a while and it's not easy to clean out. If you want to spend the next day with squeegie underwear and the possiblity floating around in your head that your preggers then you just stupid. That and your only 19! Sure wouldn't a baby be nice you can love it are for it and wipe it's caca! But honestly do you have the money to suport it? Do you relize that as a parent you have to be devoted to you child and not much else? I'd be caca scared if I was pregnate, I really think you need to grow up a bit more and think about what risk you are taking.

lol.... Foreal. I dont see whats great about it either. The only thing I can think of other than somebody wanting their underwear all "squeeqie" haha I gotta kick outta that one... Is that your boyfriend wants to cause I know a couple guys that like the idea of or feel better if they finish what they started inside the girl but other than that I would have to agree with this last post.. There ain nothin special bout some guy cummin in you if u don wanna be pregnant.

I'm glad somone agrees with me here. Do what you like, but it's still a really risky stupid thing to do. Even if you are on the pill it's not 100% effective. I have this rule and it works for me well. Never let a guy cum inside you unless 1. You can afford children 2.Your oldenough/responsible enough to bring one up 3.You can stand having children with him and or 4. You are willing to go through the expense and pain of an abortion.
