I'm gonna be 18 in just about 2 weeks and
i'm a male. I developed mild acne when I
was in my late 10s. Just blackheads
mainly and also little white pimples.
This stuff peaked when I was around 11 and
when I was turning 13 all those blackheads
and whiteheads were gone maybe only about
10 little blackheads remained. When I was
14, I started getting acne again and it
got messy with 15, a lot of pimples, but
not a severe form, just a moderate case, I
had maybe only 3 cysts till now. My acne
looked worst in my 15s, went on treatment
when I turned 16, and been on and off on
benzaclin till now. People say my acne is
now almost not noticeable. My question is
if it was normal for me (a male) to get
acne at such a very young age...? The
only signs of puberty I showed at time was
armpit hair, which I got at around 10, and
voice change and some pubic hair in my
late 11s.

Yes i'm pretty sure it is normal. I
started developing acne in 2nd grade. It
wasn't bad but it got worse and worse.
Acne is a heriditary trait in my family.
I know it also had to do with diet. I'm
20 now and I still have pretty severe
acne. I changed my diet and several other
aspects of my life and it is finally
clearing up. Acne through the teens is
normal. My case is a little less normal
