On the psats, I got a 1250, and then on the sats I got a 1450!!!!

I do well on standardized tests too, especially the regents exams which are nys mandatory in public schools!!

I didn't take the psats, but I took the sats twice - once in 7th grade (as part of an evaluation type thing) and once in 10th grade. I would imagine the psats and the sats are pretty similar.

If you test well, they shouldn't be that bad at all. The info that you have to know is pretty standard. The most important thing is logic - come at everything from a logical standpoint.

Well the psat is a practice sat for the entrance exam into college. Different from the stanford achievement tests you take with the school.

Okay, for someone who has long since graduated from high school and has been to college this is going to sound pretty stupid - but what do you mean by entrance exam? I don't remember ever having to take an entrance exam for college...

Question Embarassed

Well..Its not exactly an entrance exam. But it determines what colleges you go to and if you go to college at all. If you do really badly you maybe stuck at community college for a long time...But if you do very well you can get accepted to a lot of college and possibly scholarships...

Oh. I get it now. Smile we didn't do psats when I was in high school. It's not that we didn't have them (i mean, it was only five years ago Laughing ), but I don't remember myself or any of my friends taking them.

Dont worry about it, the psat counts for absolutely nothing. So dont sweat it...

There is something it counts for... I think you have to take it to be considered for membership in the national honors society or something...

I dont know about elsewhere, but here in texas they dont mean squat. And to get into honors society you have to have like 3.6 gpa or something.
