My husband has suffered from major
depression for 7 years. He has tried a
variety of medications and has been
hospitalized 3 times. He has received
three rounds of ect, the last being in
july of this year. While suicidal
thoughts are gone, the depression still
lingers. He is currently taking 1200 mg
of lithium and 200 mg. Of lamictal. We
are considering getting a second opinion
from one of the major hospitals i.E.
Johns hopkins, mass. General,
columbia-ny. Does anyone have any
helpful advice?

Poor guy. He's on some massive meds.A
second opinion is good.If you think you
need one, that's reason enough in my book.I
hope your husband has some resolution to
his problem.Good luck to both of you. He's
very fortunate to have a supportive
spouse,it must be tough for you as
well.Patty
