Possible to Have Neg. Blood Test Amd Still Be Pregnant??? Posted: 09-17-04 12:55pm
I have felt horrible the past week. I
spotted thru most of my last pack of bcp
and have seen the doc about feeling so
crappy. Supposedly my hormone levels are
fine. They cant explain the yucky
feelings and spotting, then my peiod was
due sunday but no period and some very
scanty brown spotting. They did hcg on
wednesday and called this a.M. That it
was neagtive. Now, obviously, I was on
bcp so not planning to be preggo....But I
feel so crappy, nausea, non-stop vomiting
for 2 hours on wednesday afternoon,
dizziness, headaches, and the like...I
feel pregnant...But 1 negative beta and a
neg hpt on tuesday afternoon as well would
indicate otherwise. My body is so
screwed up I just cant help but wonder if
I am preggo and maybe its too early to
show up even on blood. I have heard it
does still take like 5 days after implant
to show on blood...Is that true? My head
is spinning. Why do I feel so bad if its
not pregnancy? I have a bad feeling just
a gut instinct about starting my new pack
of bcp and continuing on some other meds I
am on. I can't explain it, it is just a
"feeling" that I shouldnt take meds if I
could possibly be preggo eventho docs
office says its not possible with a neg
beta.
So, anyone ever have preg signs, a
negative beta, that later--say a week or 2
later-- actually tested positive?
I don't know what to think. Am I even
making sense? I feel so "fog brained and
sick". I have no fever, no stomach
cramps, doesnt seem like a virus....Just a
headache, lower backache, weepiness, fog
headed, dizzy, nauseaus feeling...

I know with my second child I was like
that and I took a home pregancy test when
I was only a few days late, and it showed
up negative. And a week or two later I
did another test at home and it said that
I was. And with the spotting I did that
with my first child. It was only for one
day, but my aunt I know when she was
pregnant with my cousin (her first) she
did nothing but spot all through the
pregnancy. Also my cousin-in-law she has
been spotting and bleeding with this
pregnancy. And the doctors did some tests
and looked at her. And they said there is
nothing wrong. So I would say wait a week
or two more, and if you haven't started by
then try another tests. But wait to do
the test in the morning. You want to use
the urine from the morning because, it has
the highest hormone level in it, if you
are pregnant. I hope I was some help for
you. Please take care and I hope you find

When my sister was pregnant with her
first, she had a negative blood test. She
later found out that she was five and a
half weeks preggo when it was taken...So
it is possible to be negative and
pregnant. Just retest in a few weeks.
