Because we are below sea level, when it
rains a lot of the time it floods and
coffins(sp?) that are below groud can
float to the top. To prevent that from
happening they put the graves above
ground. We have a lot thats below ground
too but it takes a lot to keep them
there.

Mausoleums. And they generally cost a
lot of money compared to a burial plot.
Those la graces are pretty cool (as graves
go). I've never seen pictures of them
before. Thanks for posting those!

Yea, we do have a lot of below ground ones
too. But the sucky thing about those, is
that when someone else want to be buried
where someone already is, the dig up the
original casket, and put it out off sight.
During the funeral, they keep the new
casket above ground, and after everyone
leaves they put the old casket back in the
ground, and then put the new casket above
it.

They're kinda weird! Not like our graves!
Are the bodies buried under the slab
things? Hmm I can't figure them out!
Some of them look like beds! Are the
people buried in those things? Or under
them?

I think alot of them are buried half and
half, like half below ground, half above
