Here are some I disagree with and why.

mint patties-after dinner mints - we have both. Mint patties are soft mint covered in chocolate and after dinner mints are crunchy, melt-in-your-mouth mints.
Dew rag-bandana - we have both. A do rag is only worn on the head and only to cover hair, but when worn other places, its a bandana. And sometimes its a bandana even when on the head, like when worn by a biker.
Drapes-curtains - drapes is just a fancy name for curtains. I call them curtains more often than drapes!
Milk bag-freezer bag - I have no idea what a milk bag is!!
Skillet-frying pan - I use frying pan more than skillet, but they are both the same thing.
Broiler-grill - if you're talking about the thing that sits outside that you cook meat on, I call it a grill. I've never heard it called a broiler.
Eavestrough-guttering - I say gutters. I've never heard of eavestrough.
Dicker-haggle - again, I say haggle.
Jelly-jam - jelly and jam are the same thing!!
Catsup-ketchup - here you see this 50/50. I like ketchup better.
Shoestrings-shoe laces - again 50/50.
Club soda-soda water - again 50/50
decals-stickers - decals only when it is official, like registering a car. Sticker if its ornamental.
Straight-neat - the same thing

I wanted to add a few erin didn't already have.

shortening-- lard (both, but usually lard even though I think it's gross)

Jelly and jam are not the same thing! We have both in america. Jelly is just made from juice and jam is made from the whole fruit. So, they are not the same and we have both in america.

Congrats I tried but its not working..Too much stress, need to find another way to deal!

Himself is a non smoker - never has.
And we were spending so much time together I kept thinking I should quit.
Then I changed jobs I had one ciggie left for my first day and then nothing and no money - 6 weeks til I was gonna get paid (monthly pay, month in arrears so 6 weeks in I got 2 weeks money)
so I thought well, i've done 6 weeks and everyone here presumes I therefore don't smoke, so there was no peer pressure to go have a human break with anyone, and that was it - cold turkey I guess. I smoked from pre-teens. I used to nick my dads and copy him - sad I know.
