I can join all u girls in hating the look of it..I'm still only comin around to accepting it and that guys don't really care, but its hard...i always feel that if i notice it that much guys must at least be a bit disgusted by it...

I had a big girly sex talk with a guy friend a while ago and he admitted to me,rather digustingly, that the first time he saw a vagina he thought it looked like a split-open rat! Pleasant right???!! I was just gobsmacked...there,in one fell swoop my self esteem in that matter plummeted, and all my hard work to convince myself guys didn't mind the look of it went to nothing!!

but he rescued himself there before i could go into a big rant against him..He made it clear that it was a first impression, soon to be well forgotten when he found out how much fun they really were...as a straight guy he doesn't give a damn about how they look, he just wants to be with the girl for her and wouldn't let noting the appearance of her parts affect how he felt in any way...

Now,i'm not sayin i forgave him all together for sayin that,cos that image is permanentally imprinted into my brain,and every time i'm with my guy i wonder if he felt the same way bout me...I'm soo much more relaxed bout the whole big issue now but in lil ways i can't be completely at ease.
I don't really enjoy my man givin me oral sex and i think its mainly cos i still feel embarrased bout him seeing it so close..heck,i even hate the look of it..ha,kinda grosses me out..so course i'm not gona hav too much fun...and when i'm naked in front of him,walking around or what not, i always try to avoid givin him a view of it in case my labia are hanging down horribly or something...oh,and just so that girl knows shes not alone..i tuck them up sometimes too when i get the chance..it does just look that bit betta and makes me more comffortable mentally,if not exactly physically!

anyhu,i drift alot...the point is that we're only human, course we're gona be a bit kiddyish now and then and say 'ugh' at the look of things, but then we grow up a bit and get beyond the point of caring and i guess in the end we'll be free of our fickleness and just say 'this is how i am,take it and don't leave it mister!!'

I'm self-conscious about mine too...they protrude quite a bit... After dating my boyfriend for a year...I finally let him finger me. But I am still really scared to let him give me oral sex..or actually see what I look like down there. I'm afraid it'll gross him out or something I had such a hard time even letting him feel me down there...but I finally got over that after a year. I will be soo scared and self-conscious to ever shower with him...or walk around naked or anything like that..I just don't know how to get over it...or be comfortable with that part of my body...any advice?

okay. so i'm pretty young. just turned 18 a while back
and theres so much presure to have sex and have a boyfriend
but like so many writters - i have the same problem
and until now i was unable to write about it and voice my concern.
i guess you could say - down there i am less than confident.
it makes me feel ugly.
i can never wear a bathing suit without shorts
and i have never had a boyfriend.
i tell my friends its because i'm picky, because some really great
guys have been interested. i'm just so scared they will see what i see.
another concern of mine is talk.
lots of the people i have been interested in are friends of friends
and i dont want everyone to know what i look like! it freaks me out
because i have never discussed it with my friends. i just avoid it.

i also looked into surgery. but i think its an easy way out.
im sure if i did it i would just find another part of my
body that bothered me and want another easy out. instead i seek advice.

Normal? There IS no "normal". If you have two outer labia, two inner labia and a vaginal entrance, that's "normal". What is pretty? In my opinion, large labia are pretty!!! Small labia are just "eh" to me. Gorgeous, sexy long labia are beautiful.

Not to offend anyone, i just think you're wrong. Perhaps i could have stated opinions in different ways. I've been with the same woman for 6 years and she does not have "them".
