I'm supposivly 8 weeks pregnant I have not had my first ultrasound and people say I will not know exactly how far along I am until they do an ultrasound, it wont be done until oct 8th but my question is my last period was august 2 it was the most painful period I have ever had my boyfriends sister told me that because it was so painful that may mean that I was already pregnant I know people say that you can have something like a period while already pregnant I just dont believe its anything like a period and what I had was exactly my period just more painful. So my question is could I have been pregnant already and thats why that "period" was so painful?

Re: "8 Weeks"
I wouldn't think that being pregnant would have caused a painful period. When people say that you can have implanation (sp) bleeding, that bleeding is very mild compared to your normal period. So, im not totally positive, but it doesn't sound to me like you were. But congrats on the baby!

I can't say if you were pregnant or not, but the doctor will use that as the first day of your last period to work out an estimated date of delivery for you.
Ultrasound is used in conjunction with your dates and not just on its own.
If the 2 don't match up, then they will query it.
So you've got less than 2 weeks to your scan - which would be about right - around 10 weeks.
Good luck and keep us posted. Wink
